Meet Pat Christenson
With more than 40 years of experience in events and entertainment, Pat Christenson laid the foundation for events in Las Vegas, who is now the undisputed Entertainment Capital of the World.
As President of Las Vegas Events (LVE), Christenson was instrumental in developing an infrastructure that welcomed leagues like the NFL, NHL, and WNBA, as well as hosting iconic events such as the NBA Summer League, the National Finals Rodeo, three music festivals and another forty events that continue to grow and prosper.
As the landscape of events and entertainment in Vegas continues to evolve, Christenson is committed to assisting the destination to secure new events and ensure their success.

Pat has had a HUGE hand in not only the success of the Thomas & Mack and the NFR, but literally thousands of events that have grown Las Vegas into the entertainment capital of the world. On behalf of a lot of cowboys and myself, it’s been one hell of a ride Pat! Thank you!
Pat’s ingenuity, competitiveness, energy, education and experience contributed to the growth of a small city desert gambling town becoming a world class tourist and event/entertainment megalopolis. Since the 1980’s pat’s name is synonymous with… a town of approximately 260,000 becoming a town of 2.3 million.
Pat’s greatest strength is his ability to understand talent, and allow it to work for the better of an event, project, or goal. He allowed me to be me, he guided his vision in lock step with ours He understood the importance of “team” vs “individuals”.
In my humble opinion, Pat Christenson deserves the bulk of credit for how Vegas has become such a sports mecca in the last decade.
Pat’s contributions to the Las Vegas community through the years have been immeasurable. He has passionately promoted Las Vegas as the leading city in which to bring world-class events.
Pat Christenson and Las Vegas Events kickstarted college football with the creation of the Las Vegas Bowl in 1992. That game paved the way for the WAC and then the Mt West – to bring its football and basketball championships to Las Vegas; followed by the West Coast and Pac 12 championships; and yes the NCAA Final Four to Las Vegas in 2028.
